Geoff Aitken runs the Academy of Combat in Christchurch. 
He has a long history in the martial arts spanning several decades. Geoff is well known in the South Island for his hugely successful kickboxing and Vale Tudo promotions in Christchurch. 

Dr Geoff Aitken is the highest ranked of the Will / Machado affiliates in New Zealand and was the countries first Machado Black Beltt which was awarded by John Will in Melbourne September 2006. He has travelled to Australia on many occasions to compete and train at the Geelong headquarters. He has also trained in the USA with some world-class BJJ exponents. 

Geoff’s passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is surpassed only by his love of teaching the art to his students.  Its a testament to Geoff and his attention to detail and no nonsense approach to training.
